GearLedger

GearLedger is a mobile + web app for athletes who keep losing track of expensive equipment, warranty details, and ownership proof. Users catalog gear by scanning receipts or barcodes, adding photos, serial numbers, and purchase dates. The app auto-reminds you about warranty expirations, maintenance intervals (e.g., ski tune-ups, bike chain wear), and replacement schedules. If gear is stolen or lost, GearLedger generates an “insurance-ready” claim packet with itemized values, proof-of-ownership photos, and receipts in one export. Optional QR labels link items to a public “found” page so honest finders can contact you without exposing personal info. It’s not glamorous, but it solves a real administrative headache for people with $1,000–$10,000+ in gear and makes claims and recovery less painful.
