GearLoop

GearLoop is a mobile + web app that helps families cut the biggest hidden cost in youth sports: equipment that kids outgrow fast. It works like a local “gear library” marketplace where parents can list, lend, swap, or sell used gear (cleats, pads, sticks, uniforms) within verified leagues, schools, and community groups. The app supports deposit-based borrowing, optional low-cost damage protection, and pickup handoffs at practices or partner drop points (e.g., community centers). Coaches can post “team needs” lists so families can fulfill gaps without awkward conversations. For inclusion, GearLoop offers anonymous request mode for families who don’t want to disclose financial hardship. This is not a miracle charity app; it’s a practical logistics + trust layer that makes secondhand gear normal, fast, and safe enough that busy parents will actually use it.
