GearRecall

GearRecall is a mobile app + web dashboard that helps parents and caregivers quickly identify whether a stroller, car seat, crib, carrier, or baby swing has an active recall or safety warning. Users scan a barcode/UPC or snap a photo of the product label; the app matches it to official recall data and manufacturer notices, then explains the risk in plain language and shows the exact steps to fix, repair, or claim a refund. It also tracks your registered items, sends push alerts for new recalls affecting your saved gear, and generates a one-tap email/call script to contact the manufacturer. For resale, it can create a “Safety Check” share link showing recall status at time of listing. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps identify products from messy labels and images, but the source of truth remains official recall feeds.
