GeoGate

GeoGate is a web app for streaming teams to preflight a title’s real-world availability and playback behavior across regions, ISPs, devices, and app versions—before customers find the breakage. You upload a manifest/URL (HLS/DASH), DRM info, and entitlement rules, then schedule automated “virtual subscribers” in key markets to attempt playback, ad insertion, subtitles, audio tracks, and trick-play. Results come back as a clear pass/fail matrix with screenshots, error codes, CDN/DRM handshake traces, and a timeline of where playback died (DNS, TLS, license, manifest, segment, player). It’s not a magic fix tool; it’s a fast, repeatable way to catch misconfigured geo rules, CDN routing issues, expired DRM certs, and regional subtitle/audio mismatches. Integrates with Slack/Jira to block releases when critical markets fail.
