GhostPost
GhostPost is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that scores job listings for “realness” and freshness. It tracks whether roles are repeatedly reposted, silently edited, or left open for months, and flags patterns consistent with ghost jobs. Users can paste a job URL or install a browser extension to automatically analyze listings across major boards and ATS pages. The app combines public signals (repost frequency, page change history, applicant volume proxies) with crowd reports (interview activity, auto-rejections, hiring manager responses) to produce a simple risk score and a timeline of listing changes. It also suggests safer alternatives: similar roles from the same company that appear actively hiring, or verified openings from peer companies. The goal is not to “find more jobs,” but to stop candidates wasting hours on dead listings and to pressure employers to post responsibly.
