GillGuard

GillGuard is a mobile + web app that helps fish farmers detect and respond to health problems early using simple daily inputs and optional low-cost sensor/camera integrations. Farmers log mortalities, feeding behavior, water quality (manual or imported), and quick photo/video clips of fish and gills. The app flags abnormal patterns (e.g., appetite drop + rising ammonia) and suggests practical next steps: isolate cages/ponds, adjust aeration, reduce feeding, or contact a vet/lab. It also generates a clean “case packet” (timeline, readings, images) to share with consultants and labs, reducing back-and-forth and wasted time. This is not a magic cure: it won’t replace lab diagnostics or fix poor husbandry. But it can shorten the time between “something feels off” and “take action,” which is where many farms lose money.
