GlareGuard
GlareGuard is a mobile + web app that helps people identify and reduce real-world glare and poor lighting that trigger eye strain, headaches, and reduced visual comfort. Using a phone camera and simple guided captures, it estimates glare sources (windows, overhead fixtures, glossy monitors) and produces an actionable “comfort score” for a desk, classroom, or workstation. It then recommends concrete fixes: monitor angle/height, blind positioning, lamp type and placement, anti-glare film options, and brightness targets. For teams, a web dashboard aggregates anonymous reports by location so facilities can prioritize changes that improve comfort and productivity. This is not a medical diagnostic tool; it’s an environment optimization tool with clear before/after comparisons. The MVP focuses on repeatable measurements, simple recommendations, and shareable reports that make it easy to justify small, practical changes.
