GlossaryOps
GlossaryOps is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams integration) that helps companies stop arguing about what metrics and fields mean. It centralizes business definitions (e.g., “Active User”, “Net Revenue”), links them to physical data assets (tables/columns, dbt models, BI measures), and enforces lightweight review workflows so changes don’t silently break dashboards. It includes a browser extension that overlays approved definitions directly inside common BI tools, reducing context switching. An AI assistant suggests draft definitions, owners, and related terms by scanning dbt docs, SQL, and BI metadata, but every change requires human approval to avoid hallucinated governance. The MVP focuses on fast adoption: import from Snowflake/BigQuery + dbt, create a curated glossary, and push definitions where analysts actually work. It’s not a full enterprise catalog; it’s a practical “definitions layer” teams will use daily.
