GlutenGauge

GlutenGauge is a mobile + web app that helps people with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity assess cross-contact risk in grains, flours, oats, and pasta. Users scan a barcode or search a product, then see a risk profile based on manufacturer statements, facility/line info, allergen disclosures, third-party certifications, and community-submitted package photos. The app also tracks lot numbers and purchase locations so users can quickly flag patterns if they get sick, and it can generate a “safe list” for recurring buys. This is not a lab test and won’t pretend to be—it's a practical decision-support tool that reduces uncertainty at the shelf. A lightweight AI layer extracts key safety claims from label photos and normalizes messy manufacturer wording into consistent, comparable signals.
