GlyphGuide
GlyphGuide is a web app (with a lightweight Figma plugin) that audits icons, symbols, and infographics for cross-cultural clarity and accessibility. Designers upload a set of icons or a screenshot of a UI, and the app flags likely misinterpretations (e.g., hand gestures, animals, colors, religious/cultural symbols), low-recognition icons, and accessibility issues (contrast, stroke weight at small sizes). It generates a “visual glossary” for the product: recommended icon alternatives, short labels, and usage rules (where to use, where not to). It’s an AI-assisted tool, but not a magic wand: it works best for teams shipping to multiple regions and wants to reduce support tickets, localization bugs, and embarrassing PR mistakes. The MVP focuses on practical checks, fast reports, and exportable guidelines rather than trying to fully automate design.
