GoalLock

GoalLock is a mobile + web app (traditional + AI) that turns vague savings goals into enforceable commitments. Users set a goal (e.g., “$1,000 emergency fund by June”), connect a bank account via Plaid, and choose a “lock rule”: automatic weekly transfers, round-ups, or a spend cap. If they miss milestones, the app triggers a pre-agreed consequence: donate a small amount to a disliked cause, pay a friend (accountability partner), or lose access to a “fun budget” category until they catch up. An AI coach keeps it practical: it suggests realistic targets based on cashflow, warns when goals are impossible, and proposes tradeoffs (“reduce dining out by $60/week or extend timeline by 6 weeks”). The app is blunt about progress and doesn’t pretend motivation is enough—systems beat willpower.
