GradeGuard

GradeGuard is a mobile + web app that helps shoppers sanity-check refurbished electronics listings across major marketplaces. You paste a listing URL (or scan a QR in-store), and the app pulls key signals: seller history, return policy clarity, warranty terms, model age, common failure rates, and price vs. typical refurb ranges. It then generates a simple “risk grade” with the exact reasons, plus a checklist of questions to ask the seller and a recommended max price. It also stores your purchases and reminds you to run key tests during the return window (battery health, screen uniformity, ports, thermals), so you don’t miss the deadline. This isn’t magic: it can’t physically inspect devices. But it can reduce the most common refurb mistakes—overpaying, buying from sketchy sellers, and missing return windows.
