GrailGuard is a mobile + web app that helps shoppers avoid counterfeit luxury cosmetics and skincare when buying from resellers, marketplaces, or duty-free. Users scan packaging (box, batch/lot code, barcode, seals) and upload a few guided photos; the app returns a risk score, red-flag reasons, and a checklist of what to verify next. It also stores a “proof pack” (photos, seller info, receipts, chat screenshots) so users can dispute charges with their card issuer or marketplace. The MVP focuses on a narrow set of high-fake brands and product lines, with clear limitations: it won’t guarantee authenticity, but it will reliably catch common counterfeit patterns and inconsistencies. Monetization: per-check fee or subscription, plus a pro tier for small resellers who need repeat checks and exportable reports.
