GrantGauge is a mobile + web app that helps everyday donors avoid wasteful or sketchy giving. You search a charity (or paste a donation link), and it returns a plain-English risk/quality summary: financial efficiency, governance red flags, fundraising intensity, transparency signals, and recent controversies. It also offers “giving alternatives” when a charity looks weak, plus a simple donation journal so users can track what they gave and why. This is not a miracle impact predictor—most impact is hard to measure—but it can reliably flag common problems (shell orgs, misleading claims, poor reporting, extreme overhead, or inconsistent filings). The product focuses on speed: a 30-second decision aid before you donate, not a research project. Monetization is a low-cost subscription for advanced checks, browser link scanning, and family/shared giving profiles.
