GrantGuard is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for state/provincial agencies that distribute grants to cities, counties, and districts. It centralizes subrecipient reporting, validates spend against allowable-cost rules, and flags risk early—before a year-end audit turns into paybacks and political fallout. Subrecipients submit invoices, payroll summaries, and progress updates through guided forms; the funder gets a live compliance dashboard, automated sampling plans, and a clean audit trail. The AI layer reads uploaded documents, extracts key fields, and checks them against grant terms, budget categories, and time periods, then explains why something looks noncompliant. This is not a full ERP replacement; it’s a focused compliance and monitoring layer that sits between finance systems and subrecipients. Expect slow procurement cycles and heavy security requirements, but the value is real when programs scale to hundreds of subawards.
