GrantLedger is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for municipalities and public agencies to manage grant-funded spending with audit-ready documentation. It centralizes award terms, allowable cost rules, budget categories, and reporting deadlines, then ties every expense to a funding source with required evidence (invoice, contract, timesheet, procurement notes). The app flags common compliance failures—missing documentation, spending outside the performance period, mismatched cost categories, and subrecipient monitoring gaps—before they become audit findings. It generates standardized drawdown packets and quarterly/annual reports, and provides a clean audit trail for internal reviewers and external auditors. This is a traditional app with light AI assistance: AI helps classify expenses, extract fields from PDFs, and suggest which grant requirement an expense maps to, but humans approve everything. The goal is fewer findings, faster reimbursements, and less spreadsheet chaos.
