GrantRoute is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for state/provincial finance agencies to manage grants flowing to municipalities, counties, and districts. It centralizes award setup, disbursement schedules, compliance milestones, and reporting in one place, replacing spreadsheets and email threads. The MVP focuses on the unglamorous but expensive failures: missed reporting deadlines, inconsistent eligibility documentation, and audit findings caused by poor traceability. GrantRoute provides standardized templates per grant program, a timeline of required submissions, and a clean audit trail of approvals and changes. It also supports subrecipients by giving them a simple portal to upload required documents and see what’s due next. An AI assistant can draft reminder emails, flag missing attachments, and summarize narrative reports, but the core value is structured workflow and evidence retention, not “magic” automation.
