GrantSignal

GrantSignal is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps economic development agencies, universities, and innovation hubs track whether public R&D funding actually produces measurable outcomes. It ingests grant/project data, milestones, spend categories, and outputs (patents, publications, prototypes, pilots, hires, follow-on funding). The app standardizes messy reporting into a single outcome framework, then generates board-ready dashboards and audit-friendly reports. An AI layer flags missing evidence, detects suspiciously repetitive narratives, and suggests what documentation is needed to substantiate claims. It also benchmarks programs against similar regions and past cohorts to show what “good” looks like. This is not magic: it won’t predict breakthroughs, but it will reduce reporting chaos, surface underperforming projects early, and make funding decisions less political and more defensible.
