GridCurtail

GridCurtail helps wind farm operators quantify and reduce revenue loss from grid curtailment and negative pricing. It ingests SCADA production, market prices, and grid/ISO dispatch or constraint signals to forecast curtailment risk by turbine, feeder, and plant. The app recommends actions such as bidding strategy adjustments, battery/ancillary service switching (if available), and maintenance scheduling during high-curtailment windows. It also produces bankable reports: curtailment attribution (grid vs. internal), lost MWh and $ impact, and what-if scenarios for adding storage or changing interconnection limits. This is a web app with optional mobile alerts for operators. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for data pipelines and reporting; AI for probabilistic curtailment forecasting and scenario optimization. Realistically, the hard part is data access and utility/ISO integration, not the UI.
