GridProof

GridProof is a mobile + web app for NGOs, governments, and donors to verify whether “electrified” communities actually have reliable power. Field enumerators use the mobile app offline to capture structured evidence: GPS, timestamped photos of meters/panels, short resident surveys, and optional low-cost plug-in logger readings (where available). The web dashboard aggregates results into reliability scores (hours/day, outage frequency, voltage quality proxies), highlights discrepancies against official maps, and generates audit-ready reports for funders. It’s not a consumer app; it’s a compliance and accountability tool that reduces fraud, wishful reporting, and bad targeting. The product wins by being boring, rigorous, and easy to deploy in low-connectivity areas, with clear data provenance and exportable datasets for M&E teams.
