GridSplit
GridSplit is a web + mobile app for households and small communities that share behind-the-meter solar, batteries, or EV charging and constantly argue about what’s “fair.” It connects to smart meters/inverters (where available) or imports utility interval data, then allocates generation, storage discharge, and grid imports across members using transparent rules (fixed shares, time-of-use weighting, capped benefits, guest charging, etc.). It generates monthly settlement statements, suggests who owes whom, and produces audit-ready exports for HOAs and co-ops. This is not a magic “make money” app—most prosumers don’t optimize; they just want fewer disputes and clearer payback. The MVP focuses on one job: turn messy shared energy into simple, defensible bills. Optional AI helps detect anomalies (e.g., a failing inverter or a neighbor’s charger drawing unusually high load) and explains settlement logic in plain language.
