GripGrid

GripGrid is a web + mobile app for indie film producers to staff crews and reserve equipment with real availability, holds, and confirmations in one place. Instead of emailing 40 freelancers and juggling conflicting “soft holds,” you create a project, publish role requests (DP, AC, gaffer, sound, etc.), and crew respond with availability, rates, and kit options. The app tracks hold levels (inquiry/1st/2nd/confirmed), auto-expiring holds, and conflicts across dates. For gear, vendors (or owner-operators) list packages with day rates, insurance requirements, and pickup windows; producers request holds and receive confirmations. It generates a clean booking summary and shareable PDF for accounting and production. This is a traditional app with light AI for rate suggestions and conflict detection, not a “magic” autopilot.
