GrooveProof

GrooveProof is a mobile + web app that standardizes how vinyl condition is proven in online sales. Sellers record a guided “proof clip” (needle drop audio + short video of the record under light + label/runout close-up) following an on-screen checklist. The app auto-detects obvious issues (excessive crackle, off-center wobble, warped edge, heavy surface noise) and generates a shareable condition report with a confidence score, timestamps, and tamper-evident hash. Buyers can compare listings apples-to-apples and reduce the roulette of “VG+” claims. This is not trying to replace Discogs/eBay; it plugs into them via links and share cards. Monetization: seller subscriptions for unlimited reports, per-report fees for casual sellers, and optional escrow/return protection partnerships. Realistically, it only works if it becomes a trust badge buyers recognize, so the MVP must focus on speed, clarity, and credibility.
