GuardRails

GuardRails is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams bot) for cloud spend governance that blocks waste at the moment it’s created, not weeks later in a cost report. It connects to AWS, Azure, and GCP to enforce budget guardrails on high-risk actions: oversized instance launches, untagged resources, public egress-heavy services, and runaway autoscaling. Finance and platform teams define policies like “no GPU without approval,” “require cost center tags,” or “cap dev accounts at $X/day,” then GuardRails routes exceptions to the right approver with context (forecasted monthly impact, owner, environment). It also generates audit-ready evidence: who approved what, when, and why. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used for anomaly detection, spend forecasting, and auto-suggesting policy thresholds based on historical usage.
