GuiltReset

GuiltReset is a mobile app (with a lightweight web companion) that helps users interrupt spirals of shame and self-judgment in the moment, then translate them into self-compassionate, practical actions. Instead of generic affirmations, it uses short, structured “reset” flows: name the trigger, label the inner critic pattern, choose a compassionate reframe, and pick one tiny repair step (rest, apology, boundary, or task-simplification). The app builds a personal “Critic Dictionary” over time—your common harsh phrases and what actually helps you. Optional AI assists by rewriting your self-talk into a compassionate script and suggesting a micro-action, but everything is editable and grounded in evidence-based prompts (CBT/ACT-inspired). Progress is measured with simple check-ins and streaks are de-emphasized to avoid perfectionism. It’s designed for 2–5 minute use, multiple times per week, when people are most likely to quit other wellness apps.
