GullyGauge

GullyGauge is a mobile + web app for land managers and field crews to quantify erosion and sediment movement using repeatable photo stations. Users set a fixed point (GPS + compass heading), capture standardized photos over time, and the app aligns images to estimate visible gully expansion, bank retreat, and sediment deposition zones. It generates simple before/after reports with annotated change maps and a confidence score, plus reminders for post-storm re-surveys. This is not a magic “predict erosion everywhere” tool; it’s a practical documentation and reporting system that reduces subjective field notes and inconsistent photos. The AI component focuses on image alignment, feature matching, and change segmentation, while keeping outputs conservative and auditable. Exports are designed for compliance documentation, grant reporting, and contractor verification rather than academic-grade modeling.
