HabitatGauge is a mobile + web app (traditional app with light AI) that helps reptile and amphibian keepers plan enclosure layouts around measurable husbandry targets, not vibes. Users select species, life stage, and enclosure dimensions, then build a simple layout (substrate depth, hides, basking zone, water feature, plants, ventilation). The app generates a parameter checklist (temp gradient, humidity range, UVB distance/coverage, basking surface temp, airflow) and a shopping list tied to the design. It also supports sensor imports so users can validate whether the built enclosure matches the plan over time. The “light AI” piece summarizes common failure points from user logs (e.g., chronic low humidity at night) and suggests adjustments (more substrate, different lid, fogger schedule), but it won’t pretend to diagnose illness. This is practical planning plus verification, not a gimmicky 3D simulator.
