HabitatProof
HabitatProof is a web app with an optional mobile companion that helps conservation NGOs, land trusts, and environmental consultants produce repeatable, audit-ready habitat impact summaries using public geospatial data. Users draw or upload a project boundary (e.g., planned road, farm expansion, wind site), then the app automatically pulls relevant layers (land cover, protected areas, Key Biodiversity Areas, fire history, fragmentation metrics, proximity to waterways) and generates a standardized report with maps, citations, and a clear “what changed / what’s at risk” narrative. It’s not a magic “save wildlife” button; it’s a workflow tool that reduces the time and cost of producing defensible documentation for grants, permitting comments, mitigation planning, and internal prioritization. The AI component drafts plain-language findings, flags missing data, and suggests what field evidence would strengthen claims, but the core value is consistent data assembly and reporting. The mobile companion supports offline photo capture with GPS, simple transect notes, and upload to the project record to connect desk analysis with field verification. Reports export to PDF and shareable links, with versioning so teams can track updates over time.
