HabitReceipt

HabitReceipt is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that turns habit tracking into evidence-based logging. Instead of tapping a checkbox, users attach a “receipt” for each habit: a quick photo, short audio note, GPS-timestamped walk route, calendar event, or a 10-second clip. The app auto-suggests the easiest acceptable proof per habit (e.g., step count for walks, photo of a meal, timer log for studying) and flags low-quality or repetitive proofs to reduce self-deception. Weekly summaries show streaks plus a “proof quality score,” helping users see what actually happened, not what they wished happened. It’s realistic: it won’t magically change behavior, but it will make accountability friction just high enough to reduce fake streaks and reveal patterns that standard trackers hide.
