HalachaHub
HalachaHub is a mobile + web app that helps Conservative Jews and synagogue leaders quickly find, compare, and cite practical halakhic guidance for real-life questions (kashrut, Shabbat, lifecycle, medical ethics, tech use, etc.). It aggregates publicly available responsa and committee statements (e.g., CJLS), adds clean summaries, and links every summary back to primary sources so users can verify context. The app includes “practice profiles” so a synagogue or household can save its adopted standards (e.g., driving to shul, kitniyot, microphones) and generate consistent, shareable guidance for members. This is not a magic “ask a rabbi” replacement; it’s a structured reference tool that reduces repeated questions and prevents misinformation from random blogs. An AI layer can assist with semantic search and summarization, but citations and human-reviewed notes are central.
