HalalClause

HalalClause is a web app that helps small businesses and freelancers draft Sharia-aligned contract clauses for common agreements (services, employment, NDAs, leases, partnership terms). Users answer a short questionnaire (jurisdiction, madhhab preference if relevant, industry, risk tolerance), then the app generates clause options with plain-language explanations and citations to classical fiqh principles and contemporary standards where applicable. It also flags likely conflict points (late fees, interest language, penalties, uncertainty/gharar, ownership transfer, warranties) and suggests safer alternatives. The output is exportable to Word/PDF and includes a “review checklist” for a local scholar or legal counsel. This is not a replacement for a mufti or lawyer; it’s a practical drafting accelerator that reduces obvious Sharia issues before review, saving time and cost for users who currently rely on generic templates or guesswork.
