HaptiCue

HaptiCue is a companion app that adds curated haptic “tracks” to movies, shows, and short-form videos so viewers can feel impacts, tension, rhythm, and ambience through their phone’s vibration and supported wearables (e.g., Apple Watch). Users pick a title, press sync, and the app aligns a haptic timeline to the audio fingerprint—no special hardware required beyond what people already own. Creators can publish haptic tracks for popular content, trailers, or their own videos using a simple editor (intensity curves, patterns, and event markers). The app focuses on realistic, subtle effects (rumble, pulse, taps) rather than gimmicky nonstop buzzing. Monetization is a subscription for premium tracks plus a creator marketplace rev-share. This is entertainment-first, but it can also make viewing more accessible for users who benefit from tactile cues.
