HarborGuard
HarborGuard is a mobile + tablet marine chartplotter companion focused on one thing most apps still botch in practice: preventing accidental groundings in harbors, channels, and skinny-water approaches. It combines official chart data with live tide/water-level feeds and your vessel’s draft to compute a continuously updated “safe depth corridor” along your planned route. Instead of generic depth shading, it issues clear, actionable alerts (e.g., “At current level, this leg has <0.5m under-keel clearance”). It also supports quick “arrival mode” for stressful final miles: simplified UI, bigger buttons, and audible warnings. This is not a full replacement for premium plotters on offshore passages; it’s a pragmatic safety layer for coastal cruising, marina approaches, and unfamiliar inlets where mistakes happen fast and repairs are expensive.
