HeaderHound
HeaderHound is a desktop + web app for engineers who need to validate and debug HTTP/2, HTTP/3 (QUIC), and gRPC traffic at the protocol-header level without drowning in full packet captures. You point it at a pcap, a live interface, or a reverse-proxy export, and it reconstructs streams, highlights spec violations, and flags risky patterns (HPACK/QPACK anomalies, invalid pseudo-headers, odd SETTINGS/frames, gRPC metadata mismatches). It generates a shareable “repro bundle” with minimal redacted evidence: the smallest set of frames/headers needed to reproduce the bug, plus a human-readable timeline. It’s not a magic fix-it tool; it’s a faster way to get from “users report weird timeouts” to “here’s the exact malformed header/frame and where it originated.” Teams can use it in CI to gate releases when protocol conformance regresses.
