HeadroomIQ is a web + mobile AI-assisted operations app for small-to-mid hydro plant operators who constantly juggle river flows, reservoir constraints, turbine limits, and grid dispatch. It ingests SCADA/PLC tags (where available), public hydrology forecasts, and operator-entered constraints to estimate “headroom” (how much additional generation is safely possible) and “spill risk” (when you’ll be forced to waste water). The app produces simple, auditable recommendations: when to ramp units, when to start/stop, and when to coordinate with upstream/downstream assets. It focuses on operational clarity rather than flashy optimization: clear assumptions, confidence ranges, and alerts when data quality is too poor to trust. Realistically, it won’t replace an experienced operator or a full EMS/SCADA suite; it’s a lightweight decision layer that helps reduce avoidable spill, missed generation, and compliance surprises.
