HeatSensei
HeatSensei is a mobile app (iOS/Android) that teaches beginners the hardest invisible skill in cooking: heat control and timing. Instead of generic recipes, it runs “micro-lessons” during cooking—when to preheat, what “medium heat” looks like on your stove, how long onions really take, and what browning vs burning smells like. Users pick a simple dish (eggs, pasta, chicken thighs, stir-fry), then follow a short, step-by-step flow with timers, visual doneness cues, and quick check-ins (“Is it sizzling softly or loudly?”). It builds a personal stove profile over time (gas/electric/induction, pan type, typical burner behavior) so instructions become more accurate for that user. It’s realistic: it won’t magically fix bad ingredients or zero attention, but it will reduce common beginner failures like undercooked protein, scorched garlic, and soggy vegetables.
