HeirHandoff
HeirHandoff is a mobile + web app that helps families securely transfer “digital life” access when someone dies or becomes incapacitated—without storing raw passwords. Users create an inventory of critical accounts (banking, email, phone carrier, crypto exchanges, subscriptions, photo libraries) and attach instructions, contacts, and proof requirements. The app uses time-locked and event-triggered handoffs: if the owner doesn’t check in, designated recipients can request access, which is released only after identity verification and a waiting period. It also generates a practical executor packet: account list, device locations, key contacts, and step-by-step actions. This is not a replacement for legal wills; it’s the operational layer that families actually need in the first 72 hours. Expect heavy compliance and trust work—this is a serious product, not a quick side project.
