HerbProof is a mobile + web AI app for foragers, herbalists, and small-batch supplement makers who need to reduce misidentification risk. Users take a few photos (leaf, stem, flower/fruit, habitat) and the app returns a confidence score, top lookalikes, and a safety checklist focused on high-risk confusions (e.g., hemlock vs. edible/medicinal umbels). It also generates a “collection record” with GPS, date, photos, and notes, exportable as a PDF for internal QA or customer transparency. The app is blunt about uncertainty: if confidence is low, it says so and recommends not using the plant. This is not a medical advice app; it’s a verification and documentation tool.
