HerdSignal
HerdSignal is a web and mobile AI app that ingests data from ear tags, smart collars, weigh scales, and barn sensors to flag early signs of disease, heat stress, lameness, or feed problems in cattle, pigs, and sheep. Instead of just showing raw sensor graphs, it runs anomaly detection and herd-level trend analysis to tell farmers which specific animals to check today, and why. The app integrates with existing hardware brands via APIs or CSV uploads, so farms don’t have to rip out their current systems. It prioritizes alerts by economic impact (e.g., potential milk loss, mortality risk) and suggests simple actions: isolate, adjust feed, call vet, or monitor. A bare-bones offline mode lets users record symptoms and treatments when connectivity is poor, syncing later. It’s brutally focused on reducing mortality, treatment costs, and wasted feed rather than being a fancy dashboard. The reality: this will not magically fix bad farm management, but for mid-sized and large operations already collecting data and overwhelmed by it, HerdSignal gives them a clear, actionable layer on top of the noise.
