HeritageKit is a mobile + web app for small museums, local councils, and community groups to collect, verify, and publish cultural heritage stories fast. Volunteers and residents upload photos, audio interviews, and short write-ups tied to a place on a map. The app guides contributors through rights/consent forms, basic metadata, and “what we need” prompts so submissions are actually usable. An AI assistant helps transcribe audio, suggest tags, and flag likely duplicates or missing attribution, but humans approve everything before it goes public. Curators can build lightweight digital exhibits and walking routes that work offline for visitors. The business model is simple: free public browsing, paid tiers for organizations that need moderation tools, storage, export, and branded microsites.
