HerpDispatch

HerpDispatch is a mobile + web app for reptile/amphibian rescues to manage urgent intakes, field responses, and volunteer coordination in one place. The core is a dispatch workflow: a finder submits a report (species guess, photos, location, situation), the system triages it, and the nearest qualified responder is alerted with a clear checklist (capture method, transport, legal notes). Rescues get a shared incident timeline, chain-of-custody, and outcome tracking (released, surrendered, veterinary, deceased). An AI assist helps classify common species from photos, flags venomous/illegal/high-risk cases, and suggests safe handling guidance—but the app is explicit that AI is advisory and requires human confirmation. This is not a consumer “pet app”; it’s operational software for small orgs that currently run on Facebook DMs, spreadsheets, and burnout.
