HoldCheck

HoldCheck is a mobile + web app for vintage and antique sellers to manage item holds, deposits, and pickup deadlines without endless DMs. Sellers create a hold link for an item (or bundle), set terms (deposit amount, expiration, pickup window, restocking fee), and send it to a buyer via text/Instagram. The buyer pays a small deposit (or full amount), gets a receipt and pickup QR code, and automated reminders reduce ghosting. If the hold expires, the app releases the item and optionally keeps the deposit per policy. For sellers, it provides a simple dashboard: active holds, upcoming pickups, cancellations, and repeat-buyer reliability scores. It’s not a marketplace; it plugs into how sellers already sell (in-store, IG, fairs), focusing on the unglamorous operational pain that costs real money and time.
