HopScotchAR

HopScotchAR is a mobile app that turns a living room into a guided gross-motor “mini gym” using simple AR floor markers and short, repeatable challenges. Parents pick a 5–10 minute session (balance, jumping, crossing midline, bilateral coordination), place on-screen markers on the floor, and the app coaches the child through games like “frog jumps,” “tightrope steps,” and “color tap sprints.” It tracks consistency (not medical outcomes) and adapts difficulty based on completion and wobble/pace signals from the phone camera. The app is realistic about constraints: it won’t replace a therapist, and it won’t work in cramped spaces or with poor lighting. The value is convenience, structure, and variety—helping parents who know their child needs more movement but don’t know what to do, or can’t keep it engaging day after day.
