HotlinePilot
HotlinePilot is a mobile + web app that helps people in mental health crisis (or those supporting them) quickly find the best real-world crisis resource and prepare for the call/text. It asks a minimal set of questions (location, immediacy, safety, age, language, hearing accessibility, substance use, domestic violence risk) and routes to the most appropriate option: 988, local mobile crisis teams, county crisis lines, warm lines, DV resources, or emergency services when warranted. It also generates a short “what to say” script, collects key details (current meds, diagnoses, triggers, safe contacts), and can share a one-time link with a trusted person. The app does not pretend to be therapy; it’s a navigation and preparation tool that reduces friction at the worst moment. It includes offline instructions and a “low battery/low data” mode for reliability.
