HushBeacon

HushBeacon is a mobile app (with an optional desktop companion) that helps you quickly assess “privacy in place” before you talk, work, or take a sensitive call. It uses your phone’s sensors to estimate risk signals like nearby voices, sudden room-entry sounds, Bluetooth device density (possible nearby phones/headsets), and whether you’re on speakerphone. The app then gives a simple privacy score and actionable steps: move 10 feet, face a wall, lower voice, switch to earbuds, or use a short “masking” sound. It also offers one-tap “privacy modes” for common situations (open office, café, car, hotel) and a lightweight log so you can learn which locations are consistently risky. This isn’t spy tech; it won’t identify people. It’s a practical, fast checklist replacement for people who routinely share confidential info in imperfect spaces.
