HushHaptics is a mobile AI app that converts real-world audio into customizable haptic patterns so users can “feel” key sounds without relying on hearing. Using the phone’s microphone (and optionally a paired smartwatch), it detects events like doorbells, baby cries, timers, name being called, or approaching vehicles and triggers distinct vibration signatures. It’s designed for Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing users and for anyone who needs silent awareness (noisy workplaces, sleeping parents, shift workers). The app includes a quick training mode to personalize detection for your home and devices, plus a privacy-first approach: audio is processed on-device where possible, with opt-in cloud enhancement for tougher environments. Realistically, it won’t replace dedicated assistive hardware in every scenario, but it can be a low-cost, always-with-you layer of awareness that many people will actually use daily.
