HVACDetect is a mobile + web AI app that monitors your home’s heating/cooling behavior and flags early signs of equipment issues using data you already have: thermostat runtime, indoor temp/humidity, and (optionally) smart meter usage. Instead of generic “save energy” tips, it focuses on anomaly detection: short-cycling, weak heating/cooling, stuck dampers, failing capacitors (inferred), refrigerant loss patterns (inferred), and oversized/undersized system symptoms. The app builds a baseline for your home over 1–2 weeks, then alerts you when performance drifts and estimates the likely cost impact if ignored. It also generates a technician-ready report (symptoms, timestamps, charts) so you don’t get upsold blindly. Reality check: integrations are messy and accuracy won’t be perfect, but even “good enough” detection can prevent expensive breakdowns and reduce wasted service calls.
