HybridFit

HybridFit is a mobile + web app that compares hybrids and plug-in hybrids using your actual driving patterns, not brochure MPG. Users import trips from Google Timeline/Apple location history or connect an OBD-II dongle to capture speed, distance, temperature, and idle time. The app simulates likely EV vs gas usage for specific models (including battery size, engine efficiency, and charging access) and outputs a realistic monthly fuel + electricity cost range, emissions estimate, and payback vs a comparable gas car. It also flags “mismatch risks” like short-trip winter driving, no home charging, or highway-heavy commutes where PHEVs often disappoint. The truth: without decent data and user effort, results will be fuzzy—so the app is designed to work with rough inputs, but clearly labels confidence levels and what would improve accuracy.
