HybridMeter

HybridMeter is a mobile + web app that helps shoppers compare hybrids (and mild hybrids, PHEVs, and gas) using realistic total cost of ownership. Users enter their driving pattern (city/highway split, annual miles, climate, fuel price, electricity rate, charging access) and the app outputs a side-by-side comparison: fuel/electric spend, maintenance expectations, battery warranty risk notes, depreciation ranges, and break-even timelines. It pulls trims, MSRP, incentives, and known reliability signals, then lets users adjust assumptions transparently. It’s not a “best car” list; it’s a calculator with receipts. An AI layer summarizes tradeoffs in plain language and flags where the model is uncertain (e.g., resale volatility). Monetization is affiliate leads to dealers/financing, plus a paid plan for deeper scenarios and saved comparisons. The hard truth: accuracy depends on data quality, so the app focuses on ranges and sensitivity, not fake precision.
