HydroPermit

HydroPermit is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that centralizes compliance for small-to-mid hydropower operators. It tracks permit conditions, inspection schedules, environmental monitoring obligations (fish passage, minimum flows, sediment, water quality), and evidence collection in one place. Users upload photos, sensor exports, lab reports, and contractor invoices, then map each artifact to a specific permit clause and reporting period. The app generates audit-ready report packets and a “what’s due next” dashboard to reduce missed deadlines and avoid fines. An AI assistant can read permit PDFs, extract obligations, and propose a compliance calendar, but the operator must approve everything (because regulators won’t accept black-box outputs). Realistically, this wins only if it saves operators time and reduces compliance risk; it’s not a flashy “optimize generation” tool. It’s boring, but that’s the point.
